Why our production is not certified

Regarding the certification of our production, we have recently experienced a change in our opinion. There are a variety of certificates that evaluate sustainability, but not all of them pay attention to the same criteria. Therefore, they are only meaningful through thorough research. While we value that our supplier:s have certificates such as Oeko-Tex 100 or GRS, we have realized that transparency is the way forward.

An example of this is a small family business in Bulgaria. This company does not have the human and financial resources to obtain certification. Instead, we visit the production site regularly and can thus ensure that the seamstresses are employed under socially acceptable conditions. Now, is this «worse» than a certified organic manufacturer in Asia that we have never visited? This question is difficult to answer.
